The years were long

Yet it just came along

I don't even remember why

And what I intended to imply

That all the search began

From Sussie to Sussane

Amidst the endless flock

You were just a few blocks

Did not take long to recognize

Though all I could see were the endless blue skies

I was reluctant and loathe

But there were no oaths

To never meet again

Or act with disdain

Though it took me a while

To move out of my isle

Meet up with friends

And break all past trends

I tried too see

How you had changed
